Golden Hour
Experiment "Gold Leaf in My Art": Firstly, the "Golden Girls"—the aesthetically pleasing female figures bathed in golden light. In various forms, the gold lies on the female figures, accentuating their curves and thus emphasizing their natural beauty. Secondly, the mountain landscapes "Gold and Stone." These majestic landscapes, dark, rugged, and breathtakingly beautiful, captivated me. With reverence for the highest peaks on Earth, I brought the rock formations to life on canvas. Embellished with gold leaf, the landscapes gleam majestically in the sunlight.
Healing into desire
I paint women to process my own past. Like many other women, I experienced sexual assault and was shamed by men for my body and my sexuality. In my art, I depict women in provocatively erotic poses, rendered in vibrant colors – beauty in its purest form. I want to emphasize the image of women as self-determined individuals and thus reclaim the power that was once taken from me. Through my art, women should feel empowered to celebrate their own sexuality and to love themselves unconditionally.
The Art of Escape
Since childhood, I have been a passionate reader, letting stories transport me to bygone eras and fantastical worlds. Often, the stories I read resonate within me for weeks afterward, and I feel a longing to learn more about the places where they take place. Whenever possible, I love to travel there, but my circumstances often prevent me from doing so. Then I pick up my paintbrush and create these worlds, which offer me refuge and freedom from everyday life. I conjure towering mountains, deep valleys, and vast oceans—scenarios that give me a feeling of complete vitality and childlike carefree abandon. "The Art of Escape" visualizes my yearning for freedom and adventure, allowing me to travel when daily life keeps me confined to one place.
